Our Journey
Leading Waste Management Since 2004
The legacy of the Alam Aliran group of companies began with the establishment of Cakera Enterprise. Founded in 1994, Cakera Enterprise initially operated as a small-scale business. The core operations involved the collection of second-hand drums from various companies. Upon customers' requests, the drums were thoroughly cleaned, repainted, and subsequently sold to clients in the Juru Industrial Area. In addition to this, the company also engaged in the trade of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials. Over the years, Cakera Enterprise has built a strong reputation for reliability and quality in its services, leading to the expansion of its operations with the formation of Alam Aliran Kualiti (M) Sdn Bhd.
Alam Aliran Kualiti (M) Sdn Bhd (AAK) was founded in 2004. That same year, the company submitted a Preliminary Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the establishment of an off-site recycling plant dedicated to recycling contaminated containers used for the storage of chemicals and oils, as well as the recycling of contaminated rags categorized as scheduled waste under the Environmental Quality Act (Scheduled Waste) Regulations 2005. In 2006, AAK established its first facility, PLANT-1, located at Jalan Perindustrian Bukit Minyak 7, and acquired two recycling codes: SW409 and SW410.
In 2011, AAK submitted another EIA report for the development of a second off-site recovery plant, which became PLANT-2, located at Lengkok Perindustrian Bukit Minyak 2. This facility was awarded the following codes: SW104, SW322, SW323, SW325, SW416, SW417, and SW418. In 2016, AAK submitted yet another EIA report for a third off-site recovery plant and was awarded the following codes: SW202, SW204, SW311, SW422, and SW429. That same year, AAK developed PLANT-3, located at Kawasan Perindustrian Machang Indah, Bukit Mertajam, focusing on the partial recovery of scheduled waste code SW-110.
In 2025, Alam Aliran expanded further with the establishment of PLANT-5 in collaboration with PBA Pulau Pinang, specifically the Sungai Dua Dewatering Plant at PBA Sungai Dua, Butterworth. That year, Alam Aliran Kualiti also launched PLANT-6, a manufacturing facility dedicated to the production of eco-friendly bricks.
With over 30 years of business experience, including its inception as a small enterprise, Alam Aliran Kualiti (AAK) now serves more than 1,000 clients across Malaysia and internationally. AAK specializes in scheduled waste management services, including the disposal of scheduled waste.
AAK also proudly boasts a team of EiMAS Certified Competent Persons in Schedule Waste Management (CePSWaM), Wastewater Treatment Plant (CePIETSO), and Scrubber Systems (CePSO). The company is supported by an in-house Research and Development (R&D) team, with a dedicated laboratory for ongoing research and innovation.
In recent years, AAK has achieved Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB G7) certification, demonstrating its commitment to excellence in the industry. The company has also been certified with ISO 14001:2015 and is actively working towards ISO 45001:2018 certification, as well as undergoing the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) audit system, which is internationally recognized.
